Which card do I need IVP or Non-IVP?

Individual Verified Prints (IVP)

An agency or technician has to verify your identity and submit paperwork and fingerprints on your behalf.

Example: Teachers & School staff

Non-Individual Verified Prints (IVP)

You can get your fingerprints back from the technician and submit fingerprints yourself.

AZ DPS Website & Portal

The portal allows users to start their application online. Once you complete your online application you will submit your fingerprints via mail or electronically

  1. Pick Individual Account for your Sign Up

  2. Fill out personal information

  3. Received & Enter One-Time- Password sent to email

  4. Pick Fingerprint Clearance Card

  5. Apply for a Card

  6. Apply for a New Clearance Card

  7. Pick IVP if your working at a School ( Non IVP if you are not working at school)

  8. You can skip Employer Information​

  9. Check if your in state or out of state

  10. Applicant Signature

  11. Pay $67.00 DPS Application Fee

  12. You will sign out & sign back in

  13. Go to Message Center

  14. You will see a new message about your application

  15. Open message

  16. Scroll to bottom and click Reply button

  17. Reply to message saying please send paper fingerprinting packet

  18. You will receive blue packet by mail (For IVP)

  19. Bring blue packet to appointment (For IVP)

  20. Last call or text to set your appointment
