Requirements

An eight hour training class plus submitting your application materials to Security Guard Licensing Department.

• 2 Passport photos

• Set of fingerprints

• Completed Form plus $72 money order

2. Search for training academy or employer offered eight hour class

3. Find a fingerprinting agency to take your fingerprints

4. Submit your fingerprints along with application to DPS by mail or in-person

5. Wait for DPS to process application
